The Complete Hearth & Hook Pattern Library (6 Knit and Crochet Patterns)

The Complete Hearth & Hook Pattern Library (6 Knit and Crochet Patterns)

I get one question more than any other: "Which pattern should I make next?" The library is my answer. It is every paid pattern I have written in one download, for $29.99 instead of the $41.94 they cost one by one.

What is in the library

Knit - Slouchy Ribbed Beanie: three sizes (child, adult S/M, adult L), worsted yarn, in the round. - Moss Stitch Baby Blanket: stroller and crib sizes, bulky yarn, reversible. - Cozy Cabled Headband and Mitts Set: two adult sizes, worsted yarn.

Crochet - Easy Crochet Infinity Scarf: three widths, chunky yarn, ribbed hdc. - Textured Crochet Dishcloth Set: four stitch patterns, cotton yarn. - Granny Stripe Throw: lap and throw sizes, five colors.

That is six printable PDFs and 39 pages of row-by-row instruction. If you have already bought one of them, you can still choose the library and pick up the other five.

What every pattern includes

Every pattern follows the same layout: materials, gauge, a size chart, abbreviations, the instructions in order, a stitch count check on every size change, finishing, and a troubleshooting table. Once you can read one, you can read them all.

Three samples from the library

From the beanie. The crown decreases are [k2tog, p2tog] around to leave 42 (50) [56] stitches, then k2tog around to 21 (25) [28], exactly half each time.

From the dishcloth set. The border table gives the total stitch count for every cloth: 140 for the ribbed and moss cloths, 144 for the check and puff cloths.

From the granny stripe throw. The foundation chain is 3 x clusters + 4: 154 for the Lap and 190 for the Throw, which gives 151 and 187 dc on Row 1.

Why a library and not one pattern

A single pattern teaches you one project. A set teaches you a way of working. Across the six you will cast on in the round and flat, make a cable, join a granny stripe, work back loop ribbing and seam a loop, and each time the pattern shows its math so you can resize the next project on your own.

How the library saves you money

Bought separately: three patterns at $5.99 and three at $7.99 come to $41.94. The library is $29.99, which is $11.95 less. Delivery is instant and the PDFs are yours to print or keep on your phone.

Which should you start with?

New to knitting: the free Chunky Knit Throw first, then the beanie. New to crochet: the dishcloth set, then the scarf. Ready for a big project: the granny stripe throw. Ready for cables: the headband and mitts.
