What you get
Moss Stitch Baby Blanket (knit). A reversible bulky-weight blanket with a garter border and a moss stitch center, in Stroller (100 sts, 28.5 x 32 in) and Crib (120 sts, 34.5 x 40 in) sizes. It is a 6 page PDF with gauge, yardage, a row counter and blocking notes.
Granny Stripe Throw (crochet). A five color striped blanket in worsted yarn, Lap (40 x 48 in) and Throw (about 50 x 56 in). It is a 6 page PDF with foundation chains (154 and 190), stripe sequence, border and troubleshooting.
Together that is two printable PDFs and twelve pages of row-by-row instruction.
Three things the pair has in common
Both put the math on the page. In the baby blanket, 5 + 90 + 5 = 100 stitches at 14 stitches per 4 inches gives 28.6 inches. In the granny throw, 3 x 50 + 4 = 154 chains gives 50 clusters, which is 40 inches.
Both have a stitch count check at every size change. If you are making the Crib size instead of the Stroller, the pattern tells you 120 stitches, 55 moss pairs and 240 rows. If you are making the Throw instead of the Lap, it tells you 190 chains, 62 clusters and 187 dc per row.
Both are easy to pick up and put down. The moss stitch is a four-row repeat. The granny stripe is a two-row repeat. You can knit or crochet a few rows in the waiting room and not lose your place.
